This monitor was great until I updated to Windows 8.1. It's been trouble since. First I had a huge 1' black border around the entire screen. To fix this I updated the drivers. This almost worked. It got rid of SOME of the unwanted bezel.

I just got the HP Pavilion 27xi IPS LED Backlit Monitor at work, working on a computer running Windows 10. I'm pretty tech-saavy, but I cannot figure out how to adjust the brightness! I've tried the F9/F10 function; doesn't work. I then thought it might be an issue with the driver, so I went to Settings - Displays - Advanced Display Settings. Recently bought HP Pavilion 23cw 23-inch IPS LED Backlit Monitor HP Online Store – India. To avoid eye strain. How to set exact calibration.

No border on the bottom, but still 1/2' around the top, left, and right edges. This black edge is the same size all around, which should allow for more of a fix by stretching the image, BUT hdmi connectivity doesn't allow for that.

So much for enjoying that wonderfully small bezel. I think this can be fixed using a different input, but then so much for enjoying the hdmi connectivity you paid for. Only option is to keep your OS outdated and stick with Windows 8. I doubt the type of person to go out and get themselves a 23 inch IPS monitor is also the type who prefers their system to be outdated. Terrible job HP.

I reviewed alot of monitors before making this purchase.

I was going to get the 27' but I settled for the 23' and I am very happy with my purchase. I will probably get another to go beside it. The screen is incredible and the viewing angle is unbelievable. One of the biggest things was some reviews on others sites said this monitor's anti glare surface was too much and made the monitor dark. I spent about 20 minutes calibrating this monitor and let me tell you it is not too dark.

It is bright and looks great. I can sit at a window with the sun at my back and get no glare and see the screen great. Where the monitor normally sits is across the room from a window and when the sun is out the room is very bright, the angles i can see and be clear are amazing.

Highly recommend this monitor, I use it with a MacBook Pro. I love this 23 inch screen.

Just beautiful with LED backlighting and Full HD.Nice that it has VGA, DVI-D, and HDMI. Looks great on the desk.

Nice and slim and set up was simple. Wish that it had better documentation with it. Also when I ordered it through HP direct the rep. Did not tell me that I would need an HDMI cable to connect it to the new HP Desktop I purchased to go with it.There is a way to watch TV on this and I purchased a clicker to go with it and again no documentation really. I watch Netflix on this and it's great. I also purchased a blue tooth HP speaker to go with it so I can put that anywhere.

Love the fact that this monitor is wireless and bluetooth also. If you are going to purchase a new monitor get every possible bell and whistle that you can. The additional money spent on size and extra's is worth every penny. I would recommend this monitor highly. Although I'm not tech savvy, I'm thoroughly satisfied with HP's 23xi monitor.

It's lightweight, easy to set up, looks and performs well for someone like me who has average expectations. As a few of the other reviewers have mentioned, there is a 1/2' black border around the picture and it's manufactured out of plastic.

I also have Windows 8.1, however the 1/2' border is a minor point to consider since it was a very teeny tiny screen from which I upgraded recently. The picture quality is superb in my opinion.
